If you are like me, you are becoming disheartened with many of the media topics of 2012: presidential elections; tightening of budgets, including reductions of contract air tankers, fewer firefighters and equipment, and reorganization; as well as all the hype around doomsday.
I came across a very enlightening video on Leading Blog that warmed my heart and gives me hope in this time of uncertainty.
As the wildland fire service looks at ways of living within our present financial and political environments, may fire leaders remember to "keep calm and carry on." We have a job to do and focus on the mission is critical.
